"Detained" is the sixth episode of the British science fiction television series Class. It was released online by BBC Three on 19 November 2016. The episode was written by the series' creator Patrick Ness and directed by Wayne Che Yip. The following episode, "The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did", takes place concurrently with "Detained" and follows Miss Quill instead of the students. The episode was acclaimed by critics for its writing, directing, and performances; several critics called it the best episode of the series.
