Ericsson Telephones Limited (ETL) was a British telephone equipment manufacturer based in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. The company was founded as British L. M. Ericsson Manufacturing Co. Ltd. in 1903 as a joint-venture between the National Telephone Company (NTC) and L. M. Ericsson of Sweden (Telefonaktiebolaget L. M. Ericsson). The National Telephone Company had established a factory in Beeston in 1901, and from 1903 this became ETL's manufacturing site. The company was renamed to Ericsson Telephones Limited in 1926.
