Everipedia was founded in 2014 and was officially launched in 2015 as a fork of Wikipedia by Larry Sanger (who co-founded Wikipedia). In 2022, Everipedia rebranded to IQ.wiki. IQ.Wiki was the first wiki within the crypto industry and claims to be the largest blockchain and crypto encyclopedia. Since rebranding to IQ.wiki, the encyclopedia's Everipedia articles have been archived. The company was initially headquartered in Westwood, Los Angeles but has since relocated to Santa Monica, California. The site depicts itself as "The World's Largest Blockchain & Crypto Encyclopedia" and formerly as "everyone's encyclopedia".
