Fiji (/ˈfiːdʒi/ FEE-jee, /fiːˈdʒiː/ fee-JEE,; Fijian: Viti, [ˈβitʃi]; Fiji Hindi: फ़िजी, Fijī), officially the Republic of Fiji, is an island country in Melanesia, part of Oceania in the South Pacific Ocean.
