Haji Piyada Mosque ḤĀJI PIĀDA or Noh Gonbad Mosque (Persian: مسجد نُهگنبد "Mosque of Nine Cupolas"), a Samanid-style building in Balkh province of northern Afghanistan. Built in the 9th century, it is thought to be the earliest Islamic building in the country. Carbon dating conducted in early 2017, together with historical sources, suggest it could have been built as early as the year 794. It was built on the remains of a Buddhist monastery. The site was listed on the World Monuments Fund's 2006 World Monuments Watch list of 100 Most Endangered Sites.
