Irreligion in the United States refers to the extent of rejection or lack of religion in the United States of America. Between 8% and 15% of citizens polled in 2019 demonstrated nonreligious attitudes and naturalistic worldviews, namely atheists or agnostics. The number of self-identified atheists and agnostics was around 4% each, while many persons formally affiliated with a religion are likewise non-believing.
