Kalmiuske (Ukrainian: Кальміуське; Russian: Кальмиусское) or Komsomolske (Ukrainian: Комсомо́льське; Russian: Комсомольское) is a city in Kalmiuske Raion, Donetsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. In May 2016, the Verkhovna Rada renamed the town Kalmiuske to comply with the law prohibited the names of Communist origin. The Ukrainian government does not control the town, and the new name is not recognized locally. Currently population is estimated as 11,422 (2022 est.)
