Wyoming is a state in the Western United States. According to the 2020 United States Census, Wyoming is the least populous state with 576,851 inhabitants but the 9th largest by land area spanning 97,093.14 square miles (251,470.1 km2) of land. Wyoming has 23 counties and 99 incorporated municipalities consisting of cities and towns. Wyoming's incorporated municipalities cover only 0.3% of the state's land mass but are home to 68.3% of its population.
