Michael Andrew Martin O'Neill MBE (born 5 July 1969) is a Northern Irish football manager and former player, who is currently manager of the Northern Ireland national team, his second spell in charge, having previously managed them between 2011 and 2020. O'Neill started his playing career in his native Northern Ireland with Coleraine, before playing for a number of clubs in England, Scotland and the United States, including Newcastle United, Dundee United, Hibernian, Wigan Athletic and Portland Timbers.
