Mount Cotton is a rural locality in the City of Redland, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Mount Cotton had a population of 6,835 people. The area was settled by Germans in the late 1860s. In the 20th century, poultry farms were established and in recent years the number of residential sub-developments has expanded.
