The Chinese hooksnout carp (Opsariichthys bidens) is a species of freshwater fish in the cyprinid genus Opsariichthys, endemic to fast-flowing streams and rivers of East Asia (China, Japan, North Korea and South Korea) and mainland Southeast Asia (Laos and Vietnam). A mid-sized minnow, it has a maximum length of 20.5 centimetres (8.1 in) and a maximum published weight of 58.40 grams (2.060 oz), with sexual dimorphism favoring larger males.
