Pułtusk (pronounced Poow-toosk [ˈpuu̯tusk]) is a town in northeast Poland, by the river Narew. Located 70 kilometres (43 miles) north of Warsaw in the Masovian Voivodeship, it had a population of about 19,000 as of 2006. Known for its historic architecture and Europe's longest paved marketplace (380 metres (1,250 ft) in length), it is a popular weekend destination for the residents of Warsaw.
