Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, confirmed its registration, as did India Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. On 14 January 2022, Telangana Commerce and Industry Minister K.T. Rama Rao made a pitch on Twitter to Musk to help him set up Tesla in Telangana.
