Fino all'approvazione del House of Lords Act del 1999, tutti i pari d'Inghilterra avevano diritto ad accedere alla Camera dei lord. I pari d'Inghilterra comprendono i titoli di duca, marchese (marquess), conte (earl), visconte e barone.
