Henry David Halsey (27 January 1919 – 16 May 2009) was an Anglican bishop. During his tenure, Bishop Halsey’s focus was as a pastoral bishop, and the care of the clergy and their wives was his first priority. By supporting the clergy, he was able to support the people of the diocese. His home was a place of welcome and hospitality to innumerable groups in the diocese, but also a means of reach­­ing out into the community. Representatives of the farming community, health and social services, the police, and many other groups all benefited from invitations to Rose. Many links were formed as a result, not only between Church and community, but within the different community groups. Henry David Halsey (* 27. Januar 1919 in , Surrey; † 16. Mai 2009 in Norwich) war ein britischer anglikanischer Theologe und Bischof von Carlisle. David Halsey besuchte die in Wimbledon und studierte am King’s College in London. Er wurde in Wells am zum Priester ausgebildet. Von 1942 bis 1945 arbeitete er zunächst als Priester in Petersfield in Hampshire. Danach trat er eine Priesterstelle beim an, um danach in Plymouth, und Chatham zu arbeiten. Von 1962 bis 1968 war er in tätig. Die Qualität seiner kirchlichen Arbeit wurde sehr geschätzt, und er wurde 1968 zum Suffraganbischof von Tonbridge befördert. Von dort wechselte er nach Carlisle, wo er von 1972 bis 1989 Bischof war.
