That sentence is clear if you have the background knowledge, but it really needs some Wikilinks. I can't see a good target, though. please specify the temporal and spatial overlap meaning that exotic terranes accreted onto the craton, becoming part of that tectonic plate? caused by? how? just the mafics, or the metaseds too?) is this the environment where it was deposited, or the sediment source? the marine basin was a bay opening to the north?
