John Martin (1805 – 7 March 1880) was a British Whig politician. Brown was first elected Whig MP for Tewkesbury at the 1832 general election but lost the seat at the next general election in 1835. However, he regained the seat in 1837 and held the seat until he stood down in 1859. Brown's family were well-known in the Tewkesbury. His father, also named , was also a Whig MP for the seat before him, while his brother James became Liberal MP immediately after he stepped down in 1859. John Martin, né en 1805 et mort le 7 mars 1880, est un homme politique britannique, membre du Parti whig. Martin est élu député de la circonscription de Tewkesbury en 1832 mais perd son siège aux élections de 1835. Il est réélu en 1837 et conserve son siège jusqu'à sa démission au début des élections générales de 1859. Son père, également prénommé , était député whig de la circonscription avant lui, tandis que Martin est immédiatement remplacé par son frère du Parti libéral à sa démission en 1859.
