Von 1969 bis 2013 sowie im Jahr 2021 wurde der Wahlkreis stets vom jeweiligen Kandidaten der SPD gewonnen. 2017 gewann die Kandidatin der CDU, Claudia Schmidtke, das Direktmandat. Lübeck is an electoral constituency (German: Wahlkreis) represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 11. It is located in southern Schleswig-Holstein, comprising the city of Lübeck and parts of the Herzogtum Lauenburg district. Lübeck was created for the inaugural 1949 federal election. Since 2021, it has been represented by Tim Klüssendorf of the Social Democratic Party (SPD).
