Thomas Dionysius Clark (July 14, 1903 – June 28, 2005) was an American historian. Clark saved from destruction a large portion of Kentucky's printed history, which later became a core body of documents in the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives. Often referred to as the "Dean of Historians" Clark is best known for his 1937 work, A History of Kentucky. Clark was named Historian Laureate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1991. Thomas Dionysius Clark (* 14. Juli 1903 in , Missouri; † 28. Juni 2005 in Lexington, Kentucky) war ein US-amerikanischer Historiker. Thomas D. Clark studierte an der Duke University und erwarb dort den Grad Ph.D. Er lehrte 37 Jahre an der University of Kentucky und ist Gründer der Kentucky Archives.
