"Fiorella Ghiladrotti (25 June 1946 \u2013 13 September 2005) was an Italian Democratic Party of the Left later Democrats of the Left politician and trade unionist who served two terms as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the North-West Italy constituency from 1994 to 1999 and again between 1999 and 2004. She was the first female President of the Italian region of Lombardy from 1992 to 1994, was a regional councillor of the Regional Council of Lombardy from 1990 to 1992 and a member of the National Council for Economics and Labour late in her life.
