Kemudian ia kembali ke Jerman menjadi kapel master di Hanover. Pada tahun 1710 ia menerima undangan dari London untuk menulis sebuah opera dari ibu kota kerajaaan Inggris lalu mencipta Rinaldo yang sangat sukses. Ia sangat produktif menciptakan oratorio.
