Alexandre and F\u00E9lix F\u00E9n\u00E9on were the first to use the term 'pointillism', in 1886, and Alexandre alone coined the term 'the Rouen School', in 1902 in a catalogue to an exhibition of the work of Joseph Delattre at the galerie Durand-Ruel \u00E0 Paris.
