Abū Bishr Mattā ibn Yūnus al-Qunnāʾī (Arabic: ﺍﺑﻮ ﺑﺸﺮ ﻣﺘﺎ ﺑﻦ ﻳﻮﻧﺲ ﺍﻟﻘﻨﺎﻱء; c. 870-20 June 940) was an Arab Christian philosopher who played an important role in the transmission of the works of Aristotle to the Islamic world. He is famous for founding the Baghdad school of Aristotelian philosophers.

É famoso por fundar a de filósofos aristotélicos. (pt) أبو بشر، متى بن يونس القنائي، مترجم وفيلسوف نسطوري نصراني عاش في بغداد في زمن الخليفة الراضي بالله، وهو من أهل الذي يبعد 94 كيلًا عن بغداد. تلقّى علومه في مدرسة «» على أيدي أساتذة عدة منهم الراهبان: روبيل وبنيامين، وقرأ المنطق على يد المنطقي. انتهت إليه رئاسة المنطق في عصره، وتخرج على يديه يحيى بن عدي الفيلسوف المنطقي التكريتي -نزيل بغداد- الذي أخذ مكانه في رئاسة المنطق بعد وفاته، كذلك درس المنطق على يديه أبو نصر محمد الفارابي. أجاد متى كُلًّا من اللغة اليونانية والسريانية والعربية، ونقل الكثير من تصانيف أرسطو، وفرفريوس، وثامسطيوس، والإسكندر الأفروديسي. وشرحها، وعلى شروحه يعوّل الناس في القراءة. وترجم لإسحاق بن حنين كتابه البرهان من السريانية إلى العربية. كما ألف متى كتابًا أسماه . قال ابن خلكان في الكلام عن الفارابي: كان حسن العبارة في تأليفه، لطيف الإشارة. وكان يستعمل في تصانيفه البسط (ar) Abū Bishr Mattā b. Yūnus al-Qunnā'ī, mort en 940, est un philosophe aristotélicien et traducteur arabe chrétien, fidèle de l'Église nestorienne, qui a joué un rôle important dans la transmission des œuvres d'Aristote aux Arabes. Ces traductions en arabe du corpus aristotélicien furent poursuivies par ses disciples (notamment Yahya ibn Adi) et furent utilisées par les philosophes arabes postérieurs comme Avicenne. Abu Bishr Matta traduisit aussi du syriaque d'autres textes comme le Petit Compendium du médecin Yuhanna ibn Sarabiyun. (fr)
