The Battle at Pontes Longi was fought near Bramsche, Germany in 15 AD between the Roman general Aulus Caecina Severus and an alliance of Germanic peoples commanded by Arminius. It was part of a three-year series of campaigns by Germanicus in Germania. The battle was inconclusive. In the morning, with Caecina having stiffened his army’s morale, the Romans managed to defeat the Germans attacking the camp and caused them to flee the battlefield. Caecina was then able to complete the repairs to the Long Bridge and return to the Rhine. As a result of this victory, he was awarded triumphal honours.

(en) Bitwa na Długich Mostach – starcie zbrojne, które miało miejsce w roku 15 n.e. w czasie kampanii Germanika w Germanii. W trakcie wycofywania się na północ po zakończonej kampanii roku 15 n.e. Germanik nakazał legatowi odwrót przez tzw. Długie Mosty – wąską ścieżkę biegnącą kilometrami wśród moczarów, stworzoną przed laty przez żołnierzy . Powracające wojska Cecyny mozolnie przedzierały się przez trakt, odpierając cały dzień ataki Cherusków. Wiele rzymskich wozów utknęło na bagnach i trzeba było je wyciągać. Cecyna zarządził wówczas zbudowanie obozu na moczarach i otoczenie go wałami ziemnymi, pobudowanymi naprędce z błota. Wieczorem Cheruskowie starali się podtopić Rzymian, zalewając wały strumieniami.
