Chester Biscardi (b. Kenosha, Wisconsin, October 19, 1948; nicknamed Chet) is an Italian American composer and educator. He received a B.A. degree in English literature from the University of Wisconsin–Madison (1970); he studied during 1969–1970 at the University of Bologna and the ; he received an M.A. in Italian literature from the University of Wisconsin–Madison (1972); he received an M.M. in composition from the University of Wisconsin–Madison (1974); he received a M.M.A. in composition from Yale University (1976); and he received a D.M.A. in composition from Yale University (1980).

Biscardi studierte an der University of Wisconsin englische und italienische (bis 1970 bzw. 1972) sowie Komposition (bei ) und elektronische Musik (bei Burt Levy) und erwarb den Doktorgrad im Fach Musik an der Yale University Unter anderem waren dort , Krzysztof Penderecki, Toru Takemitsu und Yehudi Wyner seine Lehrer im Fach Komposition und Arthur Weisberg im Fach Dirigieren. Von 1979 bis 1980 war er Assistent des Dirigenten Jacques-Louis Monod. Seit 1977 unterrichtet er an der Sarah Lawrence College und leitete dort von 1987 bis 2017 das Musikprogramm. Neben einer Oper komponierte Biscordi ein Klavierkonzert und weitere Orchesterwerke, Kammermusik, Lieder und Chorwerke. (de)
