| - Core fonts for the Web era un projecte començat per Microsoft a 1996 per fer un conjunt de fonts estàndard per Internet. El projecte va acabar l'agost de 2002. En tot cas, el EULA dels paquets permetia la redistribució sempre que es mantingués el seu format i nom de fitxer original i que no fos usat dins de productes comercials. Microsoft ha deixat el projecte de banda però tanmateix segueixen estant disponibles per descarregar en llocs webs aliens a Microsoft. (ca)
- El proyecto Core fonts for the Web fue iniciado por Microsoft en 1996 para crear un conjunto de tipos de letra (mal llamados fuentes) estándar para Internet. El proyecto terminó en agosto de 2002. En todo caso, la EULA de los paquetes permitía su redistribución siempre que se mantuviese el nombre y formato del fichero original y que no fuese usado en productos comerciales. - Les Core fonts for the Web (littéralement fontes de base pour le Web en anglais) sont des polices de caractères distribuées gratuitement par Microsoft à partir de 1996 afin quelles puissent être utilisées sur le web. Les polices, toutes au format TrueType, sont : Andale Mono, Arial, Arial Black, Comic Sans, Courier New, Georgia, Impact, Times New Roman, Trebuchet, Verdana et Webdings. Elles étaient distribuées gratuitement comme freeware avec des restrictions. Microsoft a arrêté de les distribuer en 2002, mais elles sont encore disponibles sur certains sites Web, les termes de la licence le permettant. - Core fonts for the Web („Kern-Fonts für das Web“) war ein Projekt von Microsoft, das 1996 gestartet wurde. Das Ziel dieses Projekts war, eine Reihe von Schriftarten für den Gebrauch im Internet zu standardisieren. Das Projekt wurde im August 2002 eingestellt. Ursprünglich waren zehn Schriften Teil der Core fonts for the web:

- Core fonts for the Web was a project started by Microsoft in 1996 to create a standard pack of fonts for the World Wide Web. It included the proprietary fonts Andalé Mono, Arial, Arial Black, Comic Sans MS, Courier New, Georgia, Impact, Times New Roman, Trebuchet MS, Verdana and Webdings, all of them in TrueType font format packaged in executable files (".exe") for Microsoft Windows and in BinHexed Stuff-It archives (".sit.hqx") for Macintosh. Anche se non più scaricabile dal sito Microsoft la licenza del pacchetto ne permette la ridistribuzione a condizione che ne venga mantenuto il formato ed il nome originale e che non venga incluso in prodotti commerciali; per questo motivo il pacchetto è scaricabile su siti web di terze parti. - Web core fonts var ett projekt som startades av Microsoft 1996 för att skapa ett standardpaket av fonter för internet. Projektet avslutades i augusti 2002. Fontpaketens licensavtal tillåter dock vidaredistribution så länge som fonterna hålls intakta med ursprungligt filnamn, dock ej att de inkluderas i kommersiella produkter. På grund av detta finns fonterna fortfarande tillgängliga för nedladdning på tredjeparts-webbplatser. Projektets avslutande kritiserades av Håkon Wium Lie, CTO vid , som ett typiskt exempel på hur Microsoft försöker hindra interoperabilitet mellan olika system. (sv)
