ELAM 10 Rafael Ferro Macias is a faculty of the Escuela Latinamericana de Medicina (known as the Latin American School of Medicine) located in Sandino, in the province of Pinar del Río, Cuba. The faculty comprises approximately 300 students from 18 countries including Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Nauru, The Solomon Islands, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago. All of these countries are in or close to the Caribbean except The Solomon Islands, Nauru and Vanuatu, which are all located in the Pacific. Also the students of this school are mostly from anglophone countries with the exception of Belize (which shares borders with Mexico and Guatemala) and Ecuador where Spanish is spoken
