The Federation of Parties of the Mexican People (Spanish: Federación de Partidos del Pueblo Mexicano) was a socialist political party that existed from 1945 to 1954. The party was founded by Genovevo de la O, a former Zapatista commander, in 1945. The FPPM drew most of its support from left wing academics and soldiers that had grown disillusioned with the almost omnipotent Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), and believed the PRI no longer represented the ideas of the Mexican Revolution. Notable members of the FPPM were , Rubén Jaramillo, Francisco J. Múgica, and Miguel Henríquez Guzmán. Henríquez Guzmán was the presidential candidate for the FPPM in the 1952 presidential elections. Henríquez claimed to have been victorious, but the official result showed PRI candidate Adolfo Ruiz Cortines to be the winner. FPPM supporters organized a protest march against the alleged election fraud, but the government responded with a violent crackdown on the protesters. In 1954 the government accused the party of involvement in a terrorist attack against an army barracks in Ciudad Madera and the party was banned.

El FPPM consideró un alzamiento armado, que nunca llegó, siendo sus militantes perseguidos y víctimas de la represión. Por consejo del ex Presidente Cárdenas el General Henríquez se entrevistó con su competidor Adolfo Ruiz Cortines, ya investido como presidente. El General Henríquez le pidió rectificar el camino de los errores del alemanismo y le dijo que sacrificaría los intereses de partido por los de la república. Ruiz Cortines le prometió una política a favor del pueblo y le ofreció reconocer al partido henriquista (la FPPM) como un nuevo partido paraestatal, dividiéndose las opiniones de los henriquistas entre quienes estaban de acuerdo y quiénes no. Cuando no hubo acuerdo, la represión contra su movimiento y sus partidarios se recrudeció, al igual que los ataques de toda la prensa nacional, finalmente el gobierno le quitó el registro a la Federación en 1954.
