| - Els galaics (llatí Gallaeci) eren els habitants de la província romana de Gal·lècia, avui Galícia part del nord de Portugal, Astúries i la Província de Lleó. La seva transcripció és gal·lecs però convencionalment s'esmenten com galaics per evitar confusions amb els moderns gallecs. Es dividien en bràcars (gallaeci bracarii) i lucenses (gallaeci lucenses). Eren un poble celta i considerats un poble guerrer que preferien la mort a ser presoners i que es mataven quan eren capturats. (ca)

Gallaeci désigne aussi un peuple en particulier, dont la localisation territoriale dans ce périmètre n'est pas tranchée (c'est pourquoi les textes français distinguent parfois les « Gallèques » (sens territorial) des « Gallaeci » (sens tribal). - I Galleci (greco: Kallaikoi; latino: Callaici, Callaeci o Gallaeci) erano una tribù celtica della Spagna preromana. Il loro territorio, da Diocleziano denominato Gallaecia, si estendeva a nordovest della penisola iberica, nell'attuale Galizia, dal nord del Portogallo fino al fiume Douro, nell'ovest delle Asturie e nell'occidentale León. Questo corrisponde all'estensione della Castrocultura, risalente all'età del ferro, che tuttavia in Galizia lasciò appena qualche testimonianza.Poi i Romani estesero il loro nome a tutta la regione spagnola che oggi si chiama Galizia. - Gallekowie – lud celtycki, w okresie sprzed podboju rzymskiego zamieszkujący północną i północno-zachodnią część Półwyspu Iberyjskiego. Budowali liczne ufortyfikowane osady zwane castro. Osady te były budowane na wzgórzach lub mniejszych wzniesieniach, silnie ufortyfikowane czasami nawet trzema pierścieniami murów. Domostwa wewnątrz osady budowane były na planie koła, z kamiennymi ścianami i stożkowymi dachami z gałęzi lub słomy. Gospodarka Galleków opierała się na hodowli i rybołówstwie. Pozostawili również ślady wysoko rozwiniętej sztuki złotniczej. Głównym bogiem panteonu Galleków był bóg ognia. (pl)

- The Gallaeci (also Callaeci or Callaici; Ancient Greek: Καλλαϊκοί) were a Celtic tribal complex who inhabited Gallaecia, the north-western corner of Iberia, a region roughly corresponding to what is now the Norte Region in northern Portugal, and the Spanish regions of Galicia, western Asturias and western León before and during the Roman period. They spoke a Q-Celtic language related to Northeastern Hispano-Celtic, called Gallaecian or Northwestern Hispano-Celtic. The region was annexed by the Romans in the time of Caesar Augustus during the Cantabrian Wars, a war which initiated the assimilation of the Gallaeci into Latin culture. (en)
