- Gemlik (früher griechisch Kίος Kios) ist eine Hafenstadt im gleichnamigen Landkreis der türkischen Provinz Bursa und gleichzeitig ein Stadtbezirk der 1986 geschaffenen Büyükşehir belediyesi Bursa (Großstadtgemeinde/Metropolprovinz). Sie ist bekannt durch eine schwarze Olivensorte. Die im Stadtsiegel abgebildete Jahreszahl 1878 dürfte auf das Jahr der Erhebung zur Gemeinde (Belediye/Belde) hinweisen. In antiquity, Gemlik was the location of the ancient Greek town of Cius. Gemlik is an industrial port and it has a freezone trade center. There are also important industrial establishments in south and west of the harbors. The port of Gemlik is one of the busiest import harbors in Turkey. Gemlik is renowned for black olives. (en)

- Gemlik és un port de Turquia al golf de Gemlik, a la costa de la mar de Màrmara, prop del riu Gardak Su (clàssic Askanios, que desguassa 15 km més enllà al llac Iznik Gölu), i a uns 29 km de Bursa i prop d'Istanbul. És un districte del nord de la província de Bursa. Fins a 1922 es va dir, Kio o Kios (llatí Cius) i el 80% de la seva població era grega.
