Gustav Karl Laube (8 February 1839, Teplitz – 12 April 1923, Prague) was a Bohemian German geologist and paleontologist. In 1871 Laube became a professor of mineralogy and geology at the technical university in Prague, and in 1876, a professor of geology and paleontology at the German Charles-Ferdinand University in Prague. Here, he was also director of the geological institute. He was active in geological research of the Ore Mountains and neighbouring areas. He also served as geologist of the Second German North Polar Expedition (1869-70).

È stato anche direttore dell'istituto geologico di Praga. Fu attivo nel campo nella ricerca geologica dei Monti Metalliferi e zone limitrofe. Laube blev 1867 privatdocent i paleontologi vid universitetet i Wien, deltog 1869-70 som geolog i den andra tyska nordpolsexpeditionen och drev då tillsammans med den förolyckade Hansa's besättning på ett isflak ned längs Grönlands östkust. Året efter sin hemkomst blev han anställd som lärare vid den tyska tekniska skolan i Prag; 1876-1910 verkade han som professor i geologi och paleontologi vid det tyska universitetet i samma stad. År 1879 ledde han de arbeten, som företogs för att råda bot på uttorkningen av de varma källorna i Teplitz; som tack för det utmärkta resultatet härav utnämnde staden honom till hedersmedborgare.
