Jervaulx Abbey in East Witton, 14 miles north-west of the city of Ripon, was one of the great Cistercian abbeys of Yorkshire, England, dedicated to St Mary in 1156. It is a Grade I listed building. The place name Jervaulx is first attested in 1145, where it appears as Jorvalle. The name is French for 'the Ure valley' and is perhaps a translation of the English 'Ure-dale', also known as Yoredale. The valley is now called Wensleydale.

Lors de la Réforme anglaise, elle est dissoute en 1537 et son dernier abbé est pendu pour avoir participé au pèlerinage de Grâce. Propriété privée, elle est monument classé grade I depuis le 15 février 1957, et ses ruines sont visitables. (it) Jervaulx Abbey i East Witton är en fornlämning av ett av Cisterciensordens stora kloster i Yorks stift, England. Klostret var ägnat till Sankta Maria, uppfört på 1150-talet och tillhörde Yorks stift. Klosterruinen består av stående murar, jordvallar och begravningsplatser, med spår efter de viktigaste klosterbyggnaderna och merparten av det yttre klosterområdet. Fiskdammar och delar av bevattningssystemet finns bevarade. På området finns även spår av jordbruk från tiden innan klostret upprättades, platsen för en herrgård från 1500-talet och trädgårdar. (sv)
