Kebri Beyah (also spelled Kebribeyah, Qebri Beyah, Qabribayah, Somali: Qabribayax) is a town in southeastern Ethiopia. Located in the Somali Region, 50 kilometers south east of Jijiga, it has a longitude and latitude of 9°6′N 43°10′E / 9.100°N 43.167°E and an altitude of 1,686 meters above sea level. It is the administrative center of Kebri Beyah.

Construit sur le site de l'ancienne capitale du célèbre Souldan et guerrier somali Will waal littéralement garçon fou en somali. Cette ville peuplée d'ancien nomades reconvertie dans l'agriculture ne cesse de prendre de l'ampleur. Elle sera sans doute l'une des plus prospères de la région si l'investissement est à la hauteur des terres très fertiles de cette région.Elle est la ville de residence de l actuel Souldan des Jidwaq Mohamed Houssein Bileh (fr)

Seit 1989 besteht bei Kebri Beyah ein Lager für Flüchtlinge aus Somalia. Es beherbergte zunächst vor allem Angehörige verschiedener Unterclans der Darod, sowohl Somalier als auch äthiopische Somali, die als Flüchtlinge in Somalia gelebt hatten und nun zurückkehrten. Die Einwohnerzahl blieb lange bei etwa 10.000. Kebri Beyah blieb als einziges Flüchtlingslager in der Somali-Region geöffnet, während die übrigen Lager (bei Hartisheik, Aware, Derwonaji, und Ayisha) zwischen 1997 und 2005 geschlossen werden konnten, da ein Großteil der Flüchtlinge aus dem Norden Somalias (Somaliland) zurückkehrte. Das UNHCR rechnete 2005 damit, auch Kebri Beyah bald schließen zu können. Der Zustrom neuer Flüchtlinge aus dem umkämpften Süden Somalias führte allerdings dazu, dass die Einwohnerzahl des Lagers auf rund 16.000 bis 17.000 anstieg. Etwa 4000 wurden daher 2007 nach Teferi Ber/Awbere verlegt. Auch im Süden der Somali-Region wurden neue Lager eröffnet. (de)
