| - Liber Eliensis (a veces Historia Eliensis o Book of Ely en español: Libro de Ely) es una crónica e historia inglesa del siglo XII escrita en latín, se compone de tres libros y fue realizada en la Abadía de Ely situada en la isla de Ely en los Fens del este de Cambridgeshire. La Abadía se convirtió en la catedral de un obispado de nueva formación en 1109. Tradicionalmente, la autoría de la obra se le ha atribuido a Richard o a Thomas, dos monjes de Ely, aunque Richard ha sido identificado también como funcionario del monasterio. Sin embargo, algunos historiadores no están de acuerdo en que el autor de la obra haya sido Richard o Thomas y sostienen que fue escrito de forma anónima. (es)
- Der Liber Eliensis (auch Historia Eliensis; dt.: Buch von Ely bzw. Geschichte von Ely) ist ein Werk, welches die Geschichte des Klosters Ely von der Gründung um das Jahr 673 bis ins ausgehende 12. Jahrhundert, als es verfasst wurde, in lateinischer Sprache beschreibt. Die These, dass es sich bei dem Autor um die Mönche Richard und/oder Thomas handelt, wird als sehr unwahrscheinlich nicht mehr vertreten. Vermutlich konnte der Schreiber sein Werk nicht vollenden. Die letzten 25 Kapitel des dritten Buches weichen stilistisch ab und wirken, als seien sie von einem anderen Autor hinzugefügt worden. (de)
- The Liber Eliensis is a 12th-century English chronicle and history, written in Latin. Composed in three books, it was written at Ely Abbey on the island of Ely in the fenlands of eastern Cambridgeshire. Ely Abbey became the cathedral of a newly formed bishopric in 1109. Traditionally the author of the anonymous work has been given as Richard or Thomas, two monks at Ely, one of whom, Richard, has been identified with an official of the monastery, but some historians hold that neither Richard nor Thomas was the author. Fondé sur de nombreuses sources historiques antérieures, le Liber Eliensis retrace l'histoire de l'abbaye de sa fondation en 673 jusqu'au milieu du XIIe siècle. Il rapporte les miracles attribués à Æthelthryth, la fondatrice de l'abbaye, sa destruction par les Vikings et sa reconstruction sous le règne d'Edgar le Pacifique, son élévation au rang d'évêché en 1109 et la carrière des premiers évêques d'Ely, notamment Néel et ses démêlés avec le roi Étienne de Blois. - Liber Eliensis – angielska kronika napisana w XII wieku po łacinie. Kronika opisuje historię opactwa w Ely na wyspie o tej nazwie od czasów od jego założenia w 673 roku do połowy XII wieku. Dzieło opracowane zostało pod koniec XII wieku przez anonimowego mnicha z klasztoru Ely. Zachowało się w kilku kopiach, różniących się niekiedy od siebie. Autor skompilował kronikę wykorzystując fragmenty łacińskich i staroangielskich tekstów i uzupełnił je biografiami świętych oraz bohaterów. W 2005 roku Janet Fairweather opublikowała angielskie tłumaczenie tekstu z obszernym wstępem. (pl)
