Longmorn (Scottish Gaelic: Lann M'Eàrnain, St Earnain's Church) is a village in Moray, Scotland, famous for its malt whisky distilleries. It lies approximately 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) south of Elgin, on the main road from Elgin to Rothes. Most of the village is taken up by the BenRiach distillery (reopened 2004), and the Longmorn distillery. Relatively few people are employed in them and the village is mainly a dormitory of Elgin.

Duff était très connu dans le petit monde du whisky : il avait fondé une vingtaine d’années auparavant la distillerie Glenlossie. À la suite de sa faillite personnelle Duff vendit à la fin du XIXe siècle toutes ses propriétés. C’est John Grant, propriétaire de Glen Grant, qui rachète Longmorn. La majeure partie de la production est destinée aux blends comme Something Special et Queen Anna. (fr)

È situato a circa quattro chilometri a sud della città di Elgin, sulla strada da Elgin a Rothes. Questo villaggio era una volta un piccolo nodo ferroviario, e l'inizio della tratta ferroviaria della Distilleria Birnie; la linea ormai in disuso da Elgin a Craigellachie proseguiva poi a sud di Aviemore e oltre. La stazione e la piattaforma esistono ancora e sono in buone condizioni. It lies approximately 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) south of Elgin, on the main road from Elgin to Rothes. This village was once a small railway junction, and the beginning of the Birnie Distillery rail spur; the now disused Elgin to Craigellachie line then continued south to Aviemore and beyond. Longmorn station and its platform still survive and are in good condition. While the station house is lived in, the track is long gone. There are currently moves to clear the track to create a cycle path that would link Elgin to the Speyside Way at Craigellachie and from there to Aviemore and the National Cycle Network. Most of the village is taken up by the BenRiach distillery (reopened 2004), and the Longmorn distillery. Relatively few people are employed in them and the village is mainly a dormitory of Elgin. Au cours de cette longue histoire, Longmorn est une des rares distilleries à n’avoir jamais cessé de produire de l’alcool. Longmorn possède 8 alambics (4 wash stills et 4 spirit stills) en forme de gros oignons. Elle produit annuellement près de 3.3 millions de litres d’alcool pur. La distillerie produit un single malt assez méconnu et pourtant de très grande qualité. Ce single malt est marqué par des notes très fruitées. Il appartient à la gamme officielle « Heritage Collection ». La majeure partie de la production est destinée aux blends comme Something Special et Queen Anna. (fr)
