The OPEC Fund for International Development (OPEC Fund) is an intergovernmental development finance institution established in 1976 by the member states of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The OPEC Fund was conceived at the Conference of the Sovereigns and Heads of State of OPEC Member Countries, which was held in Algiers, Algeria, in March 1975. A Solemn Declaration of the Conference "reaffirmed the natural solidarity which unites OPEC countries with other developing countries in their struggle to overcome underdevelopment", and called for measures to strengthen cooperation between these countries.

- Der OPEC-Fonds für Internationale Entwicklung (englisch OPEC Fund for International Development; OPEC Fund, vormals OFID) ist eine internationale Organisation zur Finanzierung von Entwicklungshilfe. Sie wurde 1976 von den Mitgliedstaaten der Organisation erdölexportierender Länder (OPEC) ins Leben gerufen. Die Idee entstand im März 1975 anlässlich der Konferenz der Staats- und Regierungschefs der OPEC-Staaten in Algier. In einer Feierlichen Erklärung der Konferenz wurde „die gewachsene Solidarität, welche die OPEC-Staaten mit anderen Entwicklungsländern in ihrem Kampf um Überwindung der Unterentwicklung verbindet“ bekräftigt und zu Maßnahmen zur Stärkung der Zusammenarbeit dieser Länder aufgerufen. - El Fondo OPEP para el Desarrollo Internacional (Fondo OPEP) es una institución multilateral de financiamiento para el desarrollo creada en 1976 por los Estados Miembros de la Organización de Países Exportadores de Petróleo (OPEP). El Fondo OPEP fue establecido durante la Conferencia de Soberanos y Jefes de Estado de los Estados Miembros de la OPEP celebrada en Argel (Argelia) en marzo de 1975. En una declaración solemne de la Conferencia se reafirmaba la natural solidaridad que unía a los países de la OPEP con otros países en desarrollo en sus luchas por superar el subdesarrollo, y se instaba a adoptar medidas para fortalecer la cooperación entre esos países.
