It belongs to the nyaya panchayat of Atawan. The 1961 census recorded Pure Thamman as comprising 2 hamlets, with a total population of 351 people (172 male and 179 female), in 84 households and 80 physical houses. The area of the village was given as 128 acres.

The main staple foods were listed as wheat and rice.
