Secotan villages included the Secotan, Aquascogoc, Dasamongueponke, (Pamlico) and Roanoac. Other local groups included the Chowanoke (including village ), Weapemeoc, Chesapeake, Ponouike, Neusiok, and Mangoak (Tuscarora), and all resided along the banks of the Albemarle and Pamlico sounds. (de)
