Shō Kō (尚灝) (14 July 1787 – 5 July 1834) was a king of the Ryukyu Kingdom, who held the throne from 1804 to 1828, when he was forced to abdicate in favor of his son, Shō Iku. This was only the second time in the history of the kingdom that a king abdicated; the 1477 abdication of Shō Sen'i was the first.

  • 쇼코왕(일본어: 尚灝王 상호왕[*]; 1787년 7월 14일 ~ 1834년 7월 5일)은 류큐왕국 제2쇼씨 왕조의 제17대 류큐 국왕(재위: 1804년 ~ 1834년)이자 제23대 류큐 국왕이다. 그는 생일을 9일 앞두고 1834년 7월 5일, 47세의 나이로 세상을 떠났다. 아버지 (尚哲)는 14대 쇼보쿠왕의 세자였으나 왕위에 오르지 못하고 세상을 떠난다. 쇼보쿠왕이 사망하자 둘째 형인 쇼온왕이 천조하여 15대 국왕이 되었다. 이어 쇼온왕이 별세하고 그의 아들 쇼세이왕이 불과 3세의 나이로 왕위에 오르지만 이듬해 서거(逝去)하여 결국 쇼코왕이 왕위에 오르게 되었다. 만년에 정신질환을 앓았으므로 1828년(도광 8년) 세자 쇼이쿠왕이 섭위하였다. 만년에는 주님(일본어: 主御主)으로 불렸다. 재위 중 미야코・야에야마 방면(일본어: 宮古・八重山方面)으로의 파견의사 증원 외에 류큐의 형법(Ryukyu Code of Law)전인 『류큐과 율법』을 보정하는 『신집과율』 편찬사업이 있었다. 1816년에는 (en:Basil Hall)이 신사를 방문해 (來留)했다.   • 尚灝（琉球語：尚灝／ショーコー Shō Kō ?；1787年7月14日－1834年7月5日），為琉球國第二尚氏王朝第17代國王，嘉慶九年（1804年）至道光十四年（1834年）在位。尚哲末子，童名思次良金。 尚灝原為具志頭王子，是尚哲的第四子，稱具志頭王子朝相。1800年，因尚容（宜野灣王子朝祥）尚無子嗣，尚溫王命令將尚灝過繼給了尚容當嗣子。次年，尚灝到達尚容的住宅，正式行父子之禮。 然而在1803年琉球的尚成王夭死，年僅3歲。因尚溫王只有尚成一子，而尚溫之父尚穆王在世的王子中只有尚灝一人，群臣便商議將尚灝立為國王。尚容無奈，只得將尚灝奉還王室，仍認定為尚穆王之子。群臣遂擁立尚溫王之弟尚灝，並遣使前往清朝請求冊封。1808年（嘉慶十三年），清嘉慶帝派遣修撰齊鯤、給事中費錫章為正副冊封使，冊封尚灝為王。 尚灝王在位期間，琉球災難頻繁。由於長期的過度開發，琉球各地的田地荒廢、山林逐漸萎縮。突如其來的異常氣候、官員的貪污以及薩摩藩的剝削更加劇了百姓生活的困難，琉球多次發生饑荒和瘟疫。 為了穩定局勢，尚灝王派遣、等官前去各個貧困的間切，指導和鼓舞百姓耕作；又多次給予賑災的百姓官位或物件作為獎賞。他還先後於1810年和1814年向宮古、八重山地區增派醫師，向當地人傳授醫治疾病的方法。此外，荷蘭、英國的軍艦也來到了琉球，要求通商貿易，但遭到琉球的拒絕。 (zh)
