| - Tor Line var ett svenskt rederi som från 1966 bedrev passagerar- och godstrafik på Nordsjön. 1981/1982 kom rederiet att köpas upp av den danska shippingkoncernen DFDS och utgjorde under många år under namnet DFDS Tor Line basen i dess fraktdivision. DFDS Tor Line hade 2009 tillsammans med sina dotterbolag en flotta på cirka 65 ro-ro-, ro-pax- och LoLo-fartyg, som främst trafikerade Nordsjön och Östersjön. (sv)

It was ultimately purchased by Denmark-based DFDS, which renamed it DFDS Tor Line, and it operated as a freight-carrying division of DFDS along with DFDS Lisco, DFDS Lys Line and DFDS Container Line before retiring the brand. - Tor Line is een voormalige Zweedse rederij die veerdiensten onderhield tussen Göteborg (Zweden), Immingham (Engeland) en Amsterdam. De naam "Tor Line" was afgeleid van de namen van de moederbedrijven Trans Oil en Rex. De Nederlandse KNSM had een aandeel van 25% in de rederij, evenals Bratt-Gotha. De drie Zweedse partners werden in 1967 overgenomen door het Salen concern. Tor Line begon in 1966 te varen met de Tor Anglia. In 1967 kwam daar het zusterschip Tor Hollandia bij. In 1969 begon de rederij tevens met vrachtdiensten, waar zij zeer succesvol in zou worden. (nl)
