USS Kenwood was a steamer acquired by the Union Navy during the American Civil War. She was used by the Union Navy as a gunboat in support of the Union Navy blockade of Confederate waterways. Kenwood, a stern wheel steamer was launched 3 April 1863, by H. A. Jones at Cincinnati, Ohio; purchased for the Navy by Rear Admiral David Dixon Porter and commissioned at Cairo, Illinois, 24 May 1863, Acting Master John Swaney in command.
