Since March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a substantial impact on the television industry. Its effects have been particularly felt in the United States, mirroring its impacts across all arts sectors. Upon the arrival of the pandemic in the United States, almost all television entertainment production ceased, barring those capable of being produced remotely and/or with reduced personnel. This included new series and special episodes of existing series that were specifically designed around remote/at-home production, or otherwise set during the pandemic.
