Při korunovaci přijal Horovo jméno Nachtnebtepnefer. Zemřel asi po 8 letech své mírumilovné vlády. Na trůně jej vystřídal Mentuhotep II., sjednotitel Egypta a zakladatel Střední říše. (cs)

- Intef III was the third pharaoh of the Eleventh Dynasty of Egypt during the late First Intermediate Period in the 21st century BC, at a time when Egypt was divided in two kingdoms. The son of his predecessor Intef II and father of his successor Mentuhotep II, Intef III reigned for 8 years over Upper Egypt and extended his domain North against the 10th Dynasty state, perhaps as far north as the 17th nome. He undertook some building activity on Elephantine. Intef III is buried in a large saff tomb at El-Tarif known as Saff el-Barqa. (en)

Miał dwie żony - Jah i Henite.Relief odkryty nieopodal Gebel el-Silsila przedstawia Intefa wraz z żoną Jah, synem Mentuhotepem oraz Chetim, kanclerzem Intefa. Panował prawdopodobnie w latach 2054-2046 p.n.e. Rozszerzył kraj do XVII nomu w Górnym Egipcie. Był przedstawiony na reliefie ze świątyni Montu w Tod. Został pochowany w el-Tarif w Tebach Zachodnich. Według Kanonu Turyńskiego panował osiem lat. Jego imię zapisano w Sali Przodków w świątyni Amona w Karnaku. (pl)

- Antef III fou nomarca de Tebes i rei de l'Alt Egipte de la dinastia XI. El seu nom d'Horus fou Nakhtnebtepnefer (o Nebtepnefer) que vol dir "Campió bell i fort". El seu nom Sa Ra fou Intef o Antef o Saraintef. Fou fill i successor d'Antef II. Del seu regnat no se sap gairebé res, però no va guanyar ni perdre territori i probablement es va arribar a una treva amb els reis d'Heracleòpolis. Va governar uns vuit anys. Al papir de Torí el seu espai està damnat i no es veu el seu nom ni la duració del regnat però si una part del títol. (ca)

Intefe faleceu no mesmo lugar onde seus predecessores morreram, e também foi colocado em uma tumba de Safe em Safe Elbacar, mas sem qualquer inscrição. (pt)
